In order to solve the problem of high broken rate and impurity in direct harvesting corn kernels China, a flexible threshing element with variable stiffness consisting conical spring rasp bar was developed on basis existing horizontal axial-flow flow cylinder structure achieve low loss kernels. Through mechanical analysis key components element, its operating parameters were determined. Then, orthogonal tests carried out using feed amount, clearance speed as test factors, indicators. The results showed that had significant effect kernels; optimum for device amount 6.1 kg•s−1, 40 mm 392 r•min−1. 1.67% 1.03%. fully met requirements national standards operations. This study provides technical application axial combine.
